Mary Beth Sanders, Data Analyst at NPC Research, has been engaged in social service program evaluation activities since she first joined the company in 2005. She has worked as a research coordinator and data analyst for evaluations of various topic areas including: child abuse prevention, criminal justice, drug courts and other treatment courts, early childhood and family well-being, juvenile justice, and transitional housing for substance abusers. While employed at Portland State University over the last few years, her work focused on child welfare service evaluation. Having returned to NPC Research in the summer of 2018, she is working primarily on process, outcome and cost evaluations of treatment court programs including adult drug courts and family treatment drug courts.

Ms. Sanders’ primary responsibilities include managing data including extractions from large datasets, cleaning and coding data for analyses, analyzing and summarizing quantitative and qualitative data and writing reports. As part of the process evaluation work, she has interviewed key stakeholders, observed programs, conducted focus groups with program participants, and summarized key findings in written reports. She enjoys working for a company dedicated to helping inform public policy and improve social service programs through evaluation.
