Juvenile Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Diffusion Evaluation and Integrated Data Systems Project

Status: complete

The purpose of the project was to learn more about how different communities address solving adolescent substance abuse, youth violence, and school dropout and delinquency. A prevention science approach, based on risk and protective factors, enabled each of the six states to study the results of prevention activities in selected communities. NPC was responsible for collecting school survey data, state, county and community level archival data, and interviewing prevention-oriented agencies and programs. All data were collected annually or in an ongoing basis.
