Survey/Measure Development
What is Survey/Measure Development?
Good research and evaluation relies on designing tools that ask the right questions to get the answers that clients need. Whether through mail or telephone surveys, web-based surveys, in-person interviews, observational tools or focus group protocols, NPC can identify or design the right tools to answer your questions.
NPC’s Approach to Survey/Measure Development
NPC has extensive experience administering surveys (including scanning technology), adapting existing surveys to meet your needs, creating new surveys, and developing new measurement scales. Our experienced staff can work with you to help decide on the appropriate measures to use to evaluate your program, or work with you to create a new survey or interview protocol.
Examples of surveys and measurement instruments that we have developed and/or administer include:
- Friends of the Children
- Oregon Healthy Families
- Youth Competence Assessment (YCA)
- Juvenile Justice Risk and Protective Factor Screen/Assessment Materials
