Charlene Zilius is a Project Director and Senior Data Analyst at NPC Research. Her experience includes working in the areas of criminal justice and substance use treatment, with special emphasis on treatment courts. Ms. Zilius fosters program improvement by providing technical assistance and data-driven feedback using a mixed method research design (e.g., analysis of surveys, interviews, and administrative data to present information from multiple perspectives). She currently serves as a project director for the National Evaluation of Family Treatment Courts (NEFTC) and the Maryland Statewide Cost Benefit Analysis of Adult Treatment Courts. She is also part of the technical assistance and evaluation team for NADCP’s BJA Training and Technical Assistance project.
Throughout all of her work, Ms. Zilius strives to promote self-awareness and culturally responsive research practices, with the intention of improving service delivery and program outcomes for underserved populations. Ms. Zilius earned her Master of Public Administration from Portland State University and her Bachelor of Science from University of California, San Diego.
