David Reinitz joined NPC Research in June 2019 as a research coordinator. He is part of a team evaluating California’s Sargent Shriver Civil Counsel Act, investigating the impacts of providing access to legal services to low-income individuals faced with eviction. He will also be evaluating a similar program in Washington, DC, as well as the effects of a revitalization grant on a local school district.
Mr. Reinitz has experience with various types of research techniques and methods, including data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis using statistical packages and languages such as Stata, Python, and SQL. He also has significant experience with survey research, having designed a survey investigating Portland residents’ willingness to pay for urban stream restoration. In addition, he completed extensive coursework in criminal justice and law, public policy, and program evaluation.
Mr. Reinitz earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics at Reed College.
