Lisa Lucas, researcher at NPC Research, has been coordinating research and program evaluation projects since 1994 and joined NPC in 1998. Most recently, she has served as Cost Analyst for the evaluation of California Assembly Bill 590, which established nine pilot projects where legal services were provided to low-income parties in civil matters involving critical livelihood issues, such as child custody (often involving domestic violence allegations), eviction, and probate matters. Her NPC experience includes project coordination, data management, community interviewing methods, and statistical analysis for evaluations of criminal justice diversion programs, youth mentoring, and domestic violence intervention services. Ms. Lucas’s service work includes program evaluation and offering yoga and meditation to young women as part of Living Yoga, a Portland nonprofit providing trauma-informed yoga classes in correctional facilities, drug treatment centers, and behavioral/mental health facilities.

Ms. Lucas earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Education, with minors in Women’s Studies and Psychology.
